Sara Lacy and that SXSW crap
So, far be it from me to get involved in this developer land crap, but I have to say that I think that Sara Lacy is amazing. Her interview with the Facebook guy was right on, and as a result I cannot imagine the cannabilistic nature of the internet folks.
It reminds of something, sxswINTERACTIVE, well that is not south by southwest. Its a fucking music festival. Just because 10 thousand developers show up before, talk about whatever, and then fucking leave, well, fuck that. I did not see the big wigs, the branded web 2.0 people at a Sunspot show. I did not see Kevin fucking Rose or Alex fucking Albrecht at the Bloodshot records party. Calcanis was not there in the mosh pit.
Jesus fucking Christ. Where does this cult of personality stop? I know where it stops, when I stop looking. When I stop using twitter to watch about some crap in San Fran or whatever. I think the god damn problem is Tara Hunt. Really. I mean it.
Not in a bad way, but in a good food sort of way. Fucking Tara Hunt writes like a million dollars. Her voice and her writing are so good, and so innovative that I cannot help but read. Then I end up looking at the damn links, and shit, she is right in the middle of that. Then I end up looking at shit about transit camp. I LIVE IN WISCONSIN. I cannot be affected less by any camp. Jesus, yet I read about these fucking people because a writer I respect was interested in it.
FUCK.
So, you assholes crucifying Sara Lacy. She can write like a champ. She is a great writer, and the fact that your looking down your nose at her, well your just fucking wrong. The fact that Leo Laporte is going to rip on her on twit, well fuck that leo. Jesus Christ, she asked questions you dont like.
Get your own fucking interview.
Assclowns.
Your world is so self referential. Just talking about what everyone else is talking about, and not talking in your own voice. What did this guy say, or that guy? Who fucking cares? What do you have to say? What voice do you have?
I see so many damn blogs that are just RSS feeds pulling from some other blog, that it kills me. It just fucking kills me. The chance to write, the freedom to find ones own voice is amazing, and your going to waste it, with a never ending string of RSS feeds. It just kills me.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

Hello Outgunned,
It looks like the website you are linking to in the last paragraph of your post is actually a Tumblr blog. This is what we in the web world refer to as a life-stream. Perhaps you have not heard of this before.
We’d be happy to help you out, please stop by at Tumblr.com
have a nice day.
Tumblr,
Thanks for the comment, but in a world where you need to stand on your own, why do people RSS feed to a website, and not let people know where they are pulling from?
I have a tumblr blog myself, but honestly have no idea why.
How can we have work that we do not attirbute to the source? Is that what the internet is coming to?
