100 Friggin Things

I hate buying into this, but the coolest girl in the world did it, so I think I should try.

1. I have an obsession with watches, backpacks, and shoes. Not like a p diddy style obsession, but durable watches, durable shoes, etc.

2. I collected water bottles for a while. Until the big Soda companies bought up these independant companies. My favorite bottle of water is Naya.

3. My favorite band in the world is The Rollins Band. After that there are a lot. But The Rollins Band will always be number one.

4. I read non fiction during the day, and fiction when the sun goes down.

5. My favorite job ever was teaching swimming.

6. I think I can honestly say that the road is where I want to be.

7. I am guilty of tremendous depression.

8. I am a vegetarian. And proud of it.

9. I actually love to cry. The therapy of it is awesome.

10. Smart is better than anything else in the world.

11. I find cynicism to be disgusting, and humanity needs to strive to open themselves up for hugs and kisses.

12. I know I am funny. I also grade the funniness of ideas, and rarely bring out A material.

13. I balance shy and outgoing pretty well.

14. My favorite candy bar is Three Musketeers.

15. My brother is my favorite person on the planet.

16. I find myself writing with readers in mind, but only on this blog.

17. I have kept a journal for everyday except for about 18 months, since 6th grade.

18. In high school I had friends, Trowb, Marsh, and Henry…and I thought we would be together forever. I have not seen any of them since Henry’s wedding. And Trowb lives in the same town.

19. I blame myself.

20. I believe that skateboard culture is the best place I ever felt acceptance.

21. I have a favorite watch, a favorite jacket, and favorite shoes.

22. Public Enemy might have had more of an impact on me than any other band ever.

23. I wish my friend had sex with Bill Perry when she had a chance.

24. The amount anger I can get going on any given moment is amazing.

25. I have heard enough of people telling me that my passion is amazing, and I should keep it. It never really served me that well.

27. My favorite author is Henry Miller.

28. I love Blue Diamond Wasabi Soy flavor.

29. I own 7000 cds now.

30. I am left handed. But not for hockey or golf. I play ping pong both handed.

31. I do not do anything better than I play ping pong.

32. My favorite phyisical sensation is the feeling of swimming.

33. Dogs are better than cats.

34. My personal apple revolution has led to so much change in thinking it freaks me out, and I owe it to Eric.

35. I once slept with a woman 10 years older than me. It was really great.

36. College sucked. Four years going from class to gym to home…who does that? Not one party.

37. I am pretty sure I am smarter than most.

38. I read 2 books a week. ONe non, and one fiction.

39. I miss my friend so much, and it kills me to think that my actions led to them not being friends with me.

40. I prefer spiral notebooks for writing.

41. For a while Jill and I went to a movie each night of the week.

43. I do not think I am going to be hooking up for a while, I just do not like myself in that area.

44. Angela was a good girlfriend I think, and Jackie was not.

45. My time with Billie is something I am ashamed of.

48. The RS Pool was my favorite place in the world.

49. I had a crush on Wendy from Sunspot for a while.

50. I punched a cop in the face once. Got away with it too.

51. I think FUNHOUSE is the greatest recorded album of all time, and I have a hard time being friend with people who do not own it.

52. I do not care about virtuosity, I care about emotion. But it took a trip through virtuosity to be here.

53. I think that you cannot be a painter unless you learn to pull canvas, and that applies to all of life.

54. I worship Florida State Football.

55. I poop when I get up in the morning. Like clockwork.

56. If someone cheats on me, chances are its over. Really really really over. Bound to get ugly over.

57. My mom wears more Volcom clothes than I do.

58. I fear the dentist, but mine is the best one ever.

59. I only went through one divorce in my life, and it was hers and it killed me.

60. My instinct to protect leads me astray often.

61. My moral center is pretty solid, and pretty differant than yours.

62. Live music is like going to church, it takes me someplace. I am a bad person to go to a show with.

63. I am highly critical of local musicians, and I think I am right. The guitar is a thing of greatness…and just playing Paint It Black again does nothing for me.

64. I respect writers. All writers. People who put pen to paper.

65. Nothing matters more in art than process.

66. This year I threw away a Nalgene bottle that had been with me since college. Had been on every trip I had ever been on, and was a real part of my life. But I thought I should put my money where my mouth is.

67. I find the idea of calling anyone PRO this or that…pro life, pro war, pro cut and run, is hilarious.

68. Patriotism has led this country to people like Rush, and Hannity, and all the rest. And even if my friend gets a job for Fox News, I will not for one moment accept them.

69. Stupid can be fixed with awareness and humility.

71. My best sexual experience was with someone that I still have contact with now. Its strange to have become friends.

72. The only one that got away was Laura.

73. What I did to Sean in 7th grade is the thing I am most ashamed of in my life, it showed me to be of low charecter.

79. I think the greatest band in Wisconsin is STALL, but I think SUNSPOT puts on the best show. And I have put my money where my mouth is with both of these bands.

80. Scott Holt is my favorite bluesman…but is he? His version of Polk Salad Annie is the worlds best finisher.

96.  I like that powder stuff for carpet to make it smell good.

97.  Aaron Sorkin has made the best television ever….Sports Night. The West Wing. and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

98.  I think that problems cannot be overcome by just acknowledging them, you need to talk them out.
